The Northern Forest Canoe Trail will be hosting an educational community paddling event along the Missisquoi River south of Mansonville, Quebec. Join us for a fun day of paddling and learning about the health and heritage of our watersheds. Along the way, we’ll make short stops to explore the river’s ecology, wildlife habitat, and cultural history. This relaxed paddle is open to beginner and intermediate paddlers and is intended to be welcoming to a wide range of participants. Meet at 9 a.m. at a roadside river access point on Route 243 south of Mansonville. We will take out at Camping Nature Plein Air Campground. The paddle will be about 4.2 miles and will take 2 - 3.5 hours. This trip is part of the NFCT’s 2026 Rivers of Connection community paddling series sponsored by the Lake Champlain Basin Program. Registration is required.
