Aug. 4-6, Swanton Heritage Trail, VT

In partnership with the town of Swanton, we will be improving access to the Missisquoi River at the historic Marble Mill Park. The access will also serve as the terminus for the portage around the Swanton Dam. This is part of a larger project funded by the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership to develop a water based “Heritage Trail” in the area that links together paddling opportunities with historical sites. Work will involve constructing a concrete “ramp”, a stone retaining wall, and interpretive signage.  See detailed schedule and trip logistics here.
