6/23 Lake Champlain Island Triangle, North Hero VT

Open water crossings from southern North Hero to Woods Island, then Knight Island and back. Wind-dependent. About 12 miles. Longest crossing: 4.4 miles. Experience feeling small in a large lake. Dress for cold water. Alternative routes close to shore available if too windy.
