Saturday, May 16th 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Join NFCT and the Lamoille River Paddlers Trail (LRPT) for a relaxed, half-day community paddle on the beautiful Lamoille River. This easygoing trip combines time on the water with opportunities to learn about the river’s ecology, wildlife, watershed health, and cultural history.
Paddling at a comfortable pace, we’ll travel approximately 6 miles from Cady’s Falls to a takeout at Waterman Brook south of Johnson, stopping along the way for short discussions about riparian habitats, local wildlife, and the importance of river stewardship in our communities.
This trip is welcoming to paddlers of all experience levels and is a great way to connect with your local river while spending time outdoors with fellow community members.
Participants should bring their own canoe or kayak, paddle, PFD, water, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing.
If paddling gear is needed, please let us know so that we can provide you with the gear you may need! Courtesy of the NFCT, LRPT, Umiak Outfitters and the Lake Champlain Basin Program Small Education & Outreach Grant.
